What does beauty unaltered mean to you? For me, it means loving and accepting my skin no matter what. Even when I notice my acne scars in pictures or feel insecure about my combination skin that can seem impossible to figure out. That’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with CVS Beauty for the Beauty Mark initiative.

Beauty Unaltered
Last year, CVS announced a commitment to create new standards for beauty imagery and introduced the CVS Beauty Mark that will be used to highlight imagery that hasn’t been materially altered. It is so exciting to see images in the CVS aisles that have the Beauty Mark on them (which means they are not altered in any way) or that clearly says “Digitally Altered” so that we know what we are looking at!”
Sometimes we forget that the images of celebrities and models that we compare ourselves to have been edited. How can we have a healthy self-image when we are comparing ourselves to unrealistic standards? That’s why I am so proud to partner with CVS and shop there regularly.
